💚 Rough Sleeper statutory Provison 💚

SWEP – Severe Weather Emergency Protocol 2018/19
(cold weather provision when temp is freezing or below)

As of the 1st October Humbercare will facilitate cold weather provision which will be based at Dock House Futures, St Peters Street Hull. The Futures staff team will liaise with all relevant services to ensure all rough sleepers in the city are supported through the next 6 months. Dock House will take direct access cases daily from 9pm. The service will continue to provide the contracted 20 beds as well as 5 extra beds for any emergencies, 2 beds will be made available at William booth hostel when these are full. Staff at the centre will prioritise individuals by assessing needs based around vulnerability, risk and safety. Temperatures will be checked daily for the following night and in cases whereby the temperature is at freezing or below at any time overnight, if all bed spaces at Dock House and William booth are filled, staff will liaise with Hull City Council to provide B & B accommodation. Dock House have the option to increase emergency beds safely from 20 to 30 per night should this be required.

In Hull and the East Riding you can also contact Emmaus outreach to report a rough sleeper in any weather. Or report via Tell Street Link. All the numbers you need are below 💚
