It’s been a busy term for the scouts; mainly concentrating on the astronomy activity badge which included a visit (on a super clear night) to Brough Astronomy Club who taught us the constellations and let us star gaze through their amazing telescope. The scouts also made telescopes of their own which worked surprisingly well.
Also this term we’ve found time to fit in a bit of emergency aid; tried Chinese calligraphy and cooked lo mein to celebrate Chinese New Year; visited Godfrey Robinson House – Leonard Cheshire Disability for a quiz and games night with some of the residents; made some fab willow hearts for mothers day gifts with Jo from Blooms and Butterflies Hull; had a great night making #ecobricks with the help of fellow scouters Carl and Ann (who knew stuffing plastic into bottles could be so enthralling) and of course joined in with the celebrations at Blacktoft Beacon District St George’s Day celebrations. In fact we’ve been so busy I haven’t even had chance to take pictures of it all!
(Apologies for not posting as we went along; better late than never)
